Hello everyone

First of all, I would like to thank you for your support over the years.

As you have probably noticed, I have not had an easy time over the last few weeks and months.

First I had to go to the hospital in the first week of November because something had torn in my right knee, and when it had healed a good week later, I woke up in the morning and couldn't breathe.

It was an absolutely terrible day that I will never forget (unfortunately).

I woke up around 10am and had trouble breathing.

I called my mother and told her to come immediately and take me to the hospital. By the time she finally got here 45 minutes later, it had unfortunately gotten worse and it was impossible for me to get up, let alone walk to the car. We called an ambulance, which took another 45-60 minutes to arrive. He didn't do anything except determine that I couldn't breathe.

He knew how much I weighed and called a normal ambulance. It took another 30 minutes for the first ambulance to arrive. When the two people from the emergency services arrived, they realized that they couldn't transport me. At least they put an oxygen mask on me straight away and I was finally able to calm down a bit. My resting heart rate was over 120. The emergency services then called a special ambulance for particularly heavy patients and the fire brigade, which took almost another hour to finally arrive.

Since we live in an apartment building with a very narrow staircase, the emergency services couldn't get into the apartment with the stretcher. I then heard 4 people from the emergency services and 11 firefighters discussing whether they should tear down the wall of our bedroom and use a crane to transport me to the ambulance... My panic level was rising again, but luckily my mother, who had watched the whole thing with horror, had the idea that the fire service could put me on my office chair and roll me out of the building, which is what they did. Finally I was able to be put on the stretcher and taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital that was equipped for someone of my weight.
After about 5 hours I was finally in the hospital and could finally be properly examined and treated. It took another 10 days before I could finally leave the hospital.

The whole thing was a very traumatic experience for me, especially since my husband couldn't be there because he was in Spain at his brother's wedding at the time.

But most of all the fact that it took over 5 hours to get me to the hospital.

I was almost lucky that I "only" had severe pneumonia. After all, everything was OK as long as I had an O2 mask on and got enough O2. But what if I had had a heart attack? If I had needed an operation quickly?

I'm glad that everything turned out well, but I don't want to tempt fate, so I've decided to give up my career as a gainer . After my 40th birthday on January 10th, I'll lose weight, but how much? I don't know.

Anyway, I would like to thank you very much for your support.

I would like to give you a little update on my health.

I was in hospital for 10 days because of severe pneumonia.

For several days I needed a lot of oxygen to avoid suffocating, and every day I got a little better and the oxygen could be reduced little by little.

To take me to hospital by ambulance, the fire brigade had to be called in with 11 men. I can't say whether 11 men were really necessary...

The city I live in was very quick and has already sent me a bill that my health insurance will not cover.

The hospital itself was very difficult for me because it wasn't set up for someone my weight. On the first day I was still so weak that I couldn't help with anything and it took three nurses to wash my intimate area. Two nurses held up my stomach or held the folds of fat apart and the third nurse washed me there.

Never once did a nurse turn up their nose when they had to wash my intimate area or help me on the toilet. I am very grateful for that, but I don't want to know what was said behind my back.

I'm still far from well and I can only walk very short distances without getting out of breath, but I'm very happy to be home again and I hope my recovery will progress quickly.

But the whole situation, especially so soon after I was in another hospital at the beginning of November because my knee suddenly gave up the ghost and then a week later I got pneumonia, was a huge physical and psychological burden.

And I first have to figure out how to deal with the situation and what my future looks like.

Update on my knee, it has improved a lot, ive had a doctors appointment today and got sick leave til the 24th. I can walk without crutches anymore at least at home still limping though. But for anything further than a few steps i still need crutches. Also need to go to physiotherapy starting next monday.

Hey there, yesterday i kinda busted my knee and spent half of the day in a hospital.

My Knee was hurting ever since i returend from my vacations in spain on september 1st. Three weeks without a elevator after our garage and celler got flooded didnt help. But that came and went with using Voltaren Forte (a anti inflamatory cream/gel for arthritis pain and such) and the usage of pain medication.

A week ago it started to hurt again and on monday it started to hurt really bad, and yesterday it was so bad i was thinking to call sick into work but i went anyways. And on the last steps from my car to my office desk a snap/crack/plop happened in my knee and i needed to support myself on other desks and furtniture around. Luckily my coworkers noticed it and rolled my office chair to me.

I called my mom wich lifes in the same city as i work and she brougth crutches and we managed to get me into her car and into the hospital.

Luckily the examination suggested that nothing internal as a ligament or the meniskus got damaged, and because i clearly dont fit into a regular MRT or CT they did a Xray. Nothing visible on there. The doctor says that my exam on the knee with the xray suggests that something muscular happened and should not walk to much for the time being.

I hope i was lucky and really nothing is busted inside my knee but all i can do now is rest, take medication and use crutches to walk and i have to consider if this will be the end of my gaining journey and might even need to loose weight as a consequence.....
