I actually really enjoyed our naked pottery class. It looks so good on camera too. It got me thinking that I should invest in a little pottery area back at the house. Took a pottery class here in Costa Rica and we asked the guy who owns the studio if we could get naked for it. He was hesitant at first but eventually said yes under the condition that we didn’t shoot porn and kept it casual nude only. When we got there he had all the windows covered and seemed kinda nervous. I have been here in Costa Rica for three weeks now. Less than a week left. Next time I come back, I wanna go for at least a month, maybe longer. It’s really fun for me to settle into a new routine when I travel. I like to experience what it would feel like to live somewhere and what that rhythm of life would be. I need at least a few weeks for that to happen.
When I first get somewhere, I am in excitement travel mode. Grabbing all my coffees at cute cafes. Eating out for every meal. Packing my day with exploration and discovery. I need about two weeks for that to fade. Then a shift happens, and I no longer feel the FOMO of travel and instead start to feel the urge to find routine and be sustainable. Suddenly I am grocery shopping and cooking daily, brewing my coffee at home. Thats when I learn if I really like being there.
I’m in that stage right now. At the moment, I feel like I live here in this remote jungle town, and I absolutely love living here. The pace and style of life allows for simple joys to feel more rich and full of flavor. A hot shower, a cup of coffee, a home-cooked meal, a sunset, all become highlights of my day. It’s peaceful and leaves so much extra time to just be relaxed and enjoy work.
The last time I was here I stayed five weeks, and I reflected this same way and thought hard about what I was missing that back home in Los Angeles provided, and the only thing I could come up with was friends. This time around, I have friends here, and I honestly can’t think of what more I need. I truly love it here. Feels like a second home 🫶

Moving to a new Airbnb today. Can’t believe it’s already been a week in this one. That flew by so fast. Glad to be changing locations though. I know I need to travel and visit other places but each time I come here I fall in love more and more. This year I even have local Costa Rican friends to hang with which has made this feel even more like home. I have been inviting them over to work/hang and then we go out to watch a sunset and grab dinner. I don't even feel like I am traveling. I just feel like I am living here 💗
