A little compilation of silly shots from August Abbey House. I feel the need to post something that will make me smile this evening....... Getting naked out and about is all about enjoying the experience and not taking it too seriously, if you ask me!
Hi All! This post is to apologise to you all for my lack of posting, messaging, general activity or even suggesting I might just be alive this week....... I’ve spent most of the week confined to my bed with a horrible flu-like illness. I mainly laid around on the sofa and in bed, dying and watching re-runs of ER on E4! Today was my first proper venture out. I took the dog for a walk in the local woods and inadvertently stopped to look and call for him underneath a hornets nest. Long story short, I managed to get a hornet tangled in my hair, so I was stung repeatedly on the scalp and on my arm......... for those that aren’t in the know, a single hornet sting is a pain like no other............ many hornet stings don’t bear thinking about. I stoically continued with the walk as the dog needed it and then just had time to squeeze a load of lemon juice onto my head at home (The acid is said to neutralise the sting. Reader...............it doesn’t). Before I had to rush off to some work I had booked this afternoon......... so I was in agony, with suspiciously sticky looking hair.........😳 Anyway, the upshot is, this week can only be better! I will catch up with messages and hopefully post something to make us all smile shortly. Hope your weekend was more relaxing than mine!
For those who are interested, here is the main waterfall. No one is allowed to swim directly under the waterfall - there’s a viewing platform patrolled by rangers and more rangers on the ground, to stop such a beautiful place being ruined by footfall (or swimfall), but it’s not far to walk to swim further along. There is a slightly smaller, but still very impressive waterfall you can swim under (and leap off, if you’re brave enough).
For everyone who has been rained on and rained on and rained on and rained on today................Here's a reminder of what a summer is......... These shots are from July this year, about an hour north of St Tropez. I was at a waterfall called 'Cascade de la Sillans'. It isn't a nudist area, but as you will know by now, anywhere is for me! The mini waterfalls and pools falling away from the main waterfall are amazing.
After seeing them from below, I had to ride in a gondola. Don't worry, Covid19 precautions were strictly adhered to! Where's the weirdest place you've got naked?
I had a lot of fun at the Stoke Water World swim this evening. No cameras are allowed in the pool area, but I managed to sneek a few shots for you in the changing rooms. Have you got naked today?
Please bear with me, as I’m having some technical problems with the site. Some high resolution photos refuse to upload and I don’t want to downgrade the quality for you, so I’m looking at working around this. More to come soon!
Technical difficulties prevented me from posting these before, but all sorted now. I don’t know what the weather is doing for you, but it’s chucking it down here and decidedly chilly. Hopefully these shots of the fish pool at Abbey House Gardens, taken last Sunday, will remind you we do get sun in the UK!
Look where I was today. I've had the most wonderful, naked weekend. Soaking up the sun and doing pictures for you. Abbey House allows both clothed and naked people to wander around, so I surprised a few people I think!
I was driving back to the campsite after a day at a beautiful waterfall and couldn't resist stopping off for some photos, at a viewpoint across the mountains. I made this quick video - the photographs are in the next post.
Messing about with meringues in a yurt........... They were tasty! Shortly after these shots were taken, there was a massive thunderstorm, which saw me frantically trying to close the hole in the roof!
A pic and a video for you! As you'll see, I'm not a hardened cold water swimmer - I need to practice! I usually won't even go in the plunge pool after a sauna!
Please excuse the background noises - stills were being taken at the same time and there were quite a few people around, walking on the mountain, as well as driving past (not that I let that stop me!) Enjoy xx
