“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

“seventy times seven,” isn’t meant to be taken literally (490 times) but symbolizes unlimited forgiveness.
You’re not meant to keep count of other mistakes towards you , you’re meant to forgive . We make mistakes everyday , but Jesus’s sacrifice was greater than our mistakes. Jesus didn’t say “well you made to many mistakes so my sacrifice doesn’t cover those ones.” He said “it is done” you are forgiven. He expects us to take his gift of eternal life & love . And to try our hardest to change our hearts.
