"First of all, we apologize for the issues with free previews.
Upon review, the free preview functionality for new posts works as before - you may choose several previews and create a post. However, the editing does not work properly on some older posts. Also, some previews got randomly moved to paid section, just as you say.
We have forwarded your case to our engineers once again. But, unfortunately, we cannot provide you with the estimated time for resolving the issue.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the situation."
So, at least I know that it wasn't an issue with anything I did, it is a glitch on their end that they know about and are working to fix. Other people have had this issue for almost a year though, so I'm not holding my breathe.
