I have always been very transparent in the past, and let you know when I did more editing than usual on a certain photo šŸ’• But I thought you’d be interested to know what the usual ā€œediting policyā€ that I adhere to is! I DO edit things that SHOULDN’T/wouldn’t normally be there, like: -Bigger/distracting blemishes -The occasional stray hair -Bruises, sometimes -Use filters and artificial lighting that don’t change my appearance, but do add interesting color dynamics I DON’T edit anything that would change *what I look like*, or misrepresent my body’s actual features, or remove anything that actually belongs there (even if it’s unflattering): -Cellulite and other body textures -Discolorations -Unflattering shadows -Waist/hip/body shape -Stretch marks I don’t edit to try to pretend that I don’t have flaws. I edit because I’m an artist, and the simple fact is… when I take a beautiful photo that I’m proud of- but I have one red bump that I just *happened* to have that day on my otherwise smooth and shapely ass? It distracts me from truly enjoying all my hard work on the rest of the photo’s composition. I’d rather remove it and feel like I’m sharing a better, but still honest, representation of what I actually look like- than be unhappy with what I posted just because one of my pores woke up and chose violence that day. šŸ˜…šŸ„°
