Functional Fitness: While this workout does not need to be done naked, it certainly makes it more enjoyable ;-) What is functional fitness? It refers to exercise that helps you with everyday activities, like getting up off the floor, carrying heavy objects, or putting something up on a shelf, for example. Moving your body in multiple planes of motion just like we do in real life. Often times in gym workouts, we rely on very simple movements to maximize muscle growth. If you also do exercises that strengthen the muscles in the same way you would use them for daily tasks, it reduces your risk of injury and increases your quality of life. As a lifelong athlete, I have had many back and lower body injuries and surgeries. In recovering from those events, I’ve had a lot of physical therapy. As a personal trainer I know the importance of incorporating balance, strength, and coordination into any fitness routine and I do this training/therapy workout twice each week. Go at your own pace, especially with knee bending if you’re challenged there. Keep the movements as smooth and fluid as possible, and as you get familiar with the routine, feel free to add your own inspired movements that you feel will help you with your personal daily life 💪🏼 Editing: @Alien_Gj
