TL; DR: I need your feedback on OF Live during big events! I take no offense either way, I think of every part of this fun journey as an iterative learning process and enjoy figuring it all out together 😘 ~~~ Thank you so much for all of the feedback on potential Portland scene plans!!! You all gave me a lot of ideas for scenes in future events and I'm excited to show you Saturday's plan soon 🤭 I'd also like to ask your advice on streaming OF Live during the events. I think what I learned from L.A. and Denver is that I simply don't have the crew capacity yet to make it work the way I'd hoped. I think maybe if you're not there, it's hard to conceptualize just how much is going on at once. Release forms and logistics take a lot at the beginning. Some wonderful tech-y people are working on trying to figure out solutions to streamline that, but for now it's an ordeal. Then I go over scene plan, filming guidelines and sexual boundaries. There are a lot of emotions. Some people have scripted roles in the scene, some people have never done group sex before, and probably 90% of participants have never done porn before. Sometimes I'm lucky and have a second videographer to capture multiple angles for the final video. More often, I rely on one videographer. I'm often in deep orgasm (^ see picture haha) or surrounded by a lot of dicks, and, in addition to having an amazing intense physical and social experience, I'm also trying to think about camera angles, timing, creative scene structure and sexual activities, making sure everyone in the room feels taken care of, etc. In other words, short of having another volunteer crew member dedicated specifically to OF Live filming, I don't think there's currently physical or mental capacity to handle more than setting the laptop up in the room. It's a good idea to have guys take turns passing around a go pro, but if I'm being realistic, that would require some degree of extra participant training, emotional management, and logistics that we don't simply don't have the capacity for yet. In L.A. I had the laptop on the table. Ya'll gave good feedback that guys' butts blocked the view. So in Denver, we taped the laptop on a shelf higher above the action with the camera pointed down (so that butts wouldn't be in the way), but I heard that it was still hard to see most of the action. In the long-term, as we grow in community capacity, I think it will be possible to have an additional crew member able to hold a phone to stream live, but that's just not where we're at yet. Given that, I'd love to know what you'd prefer...
