If he does have this terminal disease, he will need surgery and daily medication for the rest of his life. He will likely live another 2-3 years. Medication will not prolong his life, it will reduce symptoms and keep him comfortable. If Beau's results are negative, then we will continue with more aggressive testing to determine what he is suffering from. Beau is important to me. I had hoped to train him for therapeutic endeavours, but he ended up training me! We go for 2 long off-leash walks every day and he keeps me safe, light-hearted, and grounded.
