Question from a consumer: How should a viewer/client approach sex work without participating in toxic systems. For example, I buy a video or whatever. You get money, which is cool. However, I’m still paying to objectify you if I watch and enjoy said video. What’s the way to encourage and support but not objectify and dehumanize? My answer: I don’t think objectification is a problem unless you’re dehumanizing me. I also mostly market to leftists, mostly because they tend to see me as a sexual human being, not a mere sex object (Not that being dehumanized is bad if that’s your kink and it’s done healthily). I also greatly personally enjoy the ability to help others with sexual release and emotional comfort, so its actually very fulfilling for me to be used as sexual inspiration. But yeah, basically if you’re worried, the keys I see to it are: pay your SWer(s) what they ask for, and tip if you particularly enjoy something (or always tip, it’s up to your personal standards imo), don’t cross any boundaries or ask for free services beyond any freebies offered by the swer(s) (tip for freebies when you can) and never be demanding of time or energy from your swer(s). We have lives. You also can: Promote our stuff to friends who may be interested if you feel comfortable doing so, interact with our content on OF or other sites (likes, positive reviews and comments, etc), and retweet us when you see fit if that’s something you’re safe to do. Basically, treat your SWer as a real person whose services you value and you should be fine.
