A few weeks ago while skating alone in my city, I was approached and grabbed by a very mentally ill houseless person. I convinced him to let me go and I am fine!
Tonight I rolled out by myself for the first time since, not scared but apprehensive. In that very same location, I was approached by different man. He had just arrived in the US, didn’t speak English, and simply needed someone to help activate his new phone. With weird hand gestures and Google translate, we almost got that shit done 😂
It was just what I needed- a reminder to stay open and free, to be cautious but still do me. 💜
