This photo is cool for me because the makeup/hair stylist was the same person who styled me for my wedding and was actually an ex of my ex-husband, but we bonded because, hey, friendship is its own greenhouse of goodness. She connected me with this rad photographer and we made this incredible art together. We did one photo that encapsulated the Immaculate Heart, another one that was very much just me, and then this one, which felt a bit more devilish in the styling. This was also a time when I had all of my piercings and the gorgeous jewelry piece you see here was a gentle gold collar chain that led down to connect to each of my nipple piercings, before meeting in the center above my navel in a unifying centerpiece of coral and gems. I wish I had a higher res version of this photo because it was really rad as fuck.
